Front Range Cadets,

The Air Force and Space Foundation (AFA) has ask CAPNHQ to provide some cadet support for the upcoming Warfare Symposium that will be held at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center in Aurora, CO. The dates for the event are February 12, 13 and 14 (Monday through Wednesday)

They are asking for cadets to support three different areas.

1) Award Proffers. These cadets will be at the back of the stage and bring awards plaques and certificates to the  presenter during the awards presentation. When they say "The award for the AFA regional officer of the year goes to Mr. Joe Smith...", you pick up that award from the table and bring it to the presenter and then return to the table for the next award. This is a service dress with white glove kind of job.

2) Ballroom Support. These cadets will stage at the entrance to the ballroom where the attendees are going to the various sessions. You will probably be checking credentials and directing certain people to their seating areas. This is a front line "customer support" kind of job.

3) Ad Hoc protocol support. This is an "additional duties as assigned" position. It possibly involves taking guest speakers and senior personnel to the room where they are assigned. This falls in line with a "senior customer support" position.

The event will be  Monday afternoon, Tuesday all day and Wednesday through noon so it is obviously during the school day. We do need experienced cadets with proper uniform including service dress for this event. I would prefer to have C/SMSgt and above but can take some lower ranked cadets if needed.

You do not have to support all three days. I need an additional senior member to support this event each day as well.

If you would like to support this event, have parental permissions, and can get out of school for the day, please send me your information and copy your squadron commander or deputy commander for cadets. We do need to get cadets lined up as soon as possible.

CAP forms will be provided later for those that are selected for these positions.
